The B&R Power Panel PP420 from the Power Panel 400 embedded series is an industrial operation and visualization panel for machine and plant control systems. The device features a 5.7-inch monochrome LCD display with QVGA resolution and a resistive touchscreen. With front-side IP65 protection, the panel is suitable for use in industrial environments.
The system is based on a Geode LX800 processor with 500 MHz and includes 128 MB SDRAM, 512 kB battery-backed SRAM, and 2 MB flash memory for firmware. Features include a CompactFlash Type I slot, 1 Ethernet interface with 10/100 Mbit/s, one RS232 interface, and two USB ports. In addition, an aPCI slot is available for expansion modules. The display offers 320 x 240 pixels with 8 grayscale levels, LED backlighting with 150 cd/m², and a resistive analog touchscreen with Elo controller.
The device operates with a supply voltage of 18 to 30 VDC and a typical power consumption of 12 W. The front complies with IP65 / NEMA 250 Type 4X indoor standards, while the rear side has IP20 protection. The metal housing measures 212 x 156 x 76 mm and weighs approximately 1700 g.
B&R specifies the 0TB103.9 or 0TB103.91 terminal blocks as required accessories for the 24 VDC power supply. Optional accessories include lithium batteries, USB storage devices, and various aPCI interface modules for POWERLINK or CAN bus.
