OMRON was founded in 1933 by Kazuma Tateishi in Kyoto, Japan, and today employs over 28,000 people. The company is a pioneer in automation components – OMRON developed the first contactless relay and the first automatic traffic light control. Today, the NX/NJ controller series, SYSMAC platform, and mobile robots (LD series) lead the portfolio. OMRON is particularly strong in electronics manufacturing, food industry, and mobile robotics solutions.
